An Ultimate Guide to Optimizing a Conversion Page

In this post we are going to discuss about the conversion page optimization.

What is the main goal behind having a website?. If you ask any business owner, then they will say that of course sales and leads or conversions.
For conversions one need traffic and these days the traffic acquisition has become more and more expensive as time goes on whether you are using paid traffic, content marketing or SEO. You are spending a lot of money to gain traffic and brand exposure. Today businesses are spending a lot of money in advertising and marketing through various channels keeping only a one single Goal i.e., conversions.
Two things comes into picture one is the time needed to grow the traffic and the cost of money you spend to increase the traffic.

But have you thought anytime how a visitor will convert?
What made them to convert?
Why they only convert at you?
What Sort of unique things you offer to your audience?

These are some of the questions that you need to ask yourself before you give a thought of having a lead or conversion from your targeted audiences.

I have seen many business owners who always complain that they don’t have a single visitor who is getting converted in spite of having tons of visitors on their websites every month.

In my previous company there was a client who only uses SEO services on his website and with SEO the website ranking were good in SERP and monthly traffic was also average but they have an issue with conversions. So then i run the checklists for an optimized conversion page and found that they have only a single form on their website and i explained to the client that through a normal quotation form one cannot expect leads, because there are many companies who has that simple form on their websites.

Then we have gone through all the points to make optimized conversion page and suggested to go with them.

But still things wont work up and we tried to go in depth to find out the hidden issues in the website
as they now have a better ROI page and good traffic. So, what could be the reason behind no sales and leads.

We run an audit again visualizing visitors flow from Google Analytics and found that there are many pitfalls in the content that makes visitors not to reach at-least the lead generation page.

Then we asked the client what unique way of services you provide to your customers than your competitors and they told that they do offer the same services as what their competitors do and there i found the reason why the users not reaching the conversion page.

To convert a visitor to a customer one needs to offer the services in a more sophisticated and in a more unique way. Then we knowledge them to make changes in their approach in offering their services and they did exactly the same way with the better quality and appealing content and from the very next month they started getting leads and conversions.

So basically a good A/B testing is required to find out the hidden aspects of website and find out more  innovative ways to drag visitors to a customer.

So by this we came to know that two aspects are very important for a B2B business owners, 1st is the appealing (user accessible and user friendly) & unique content (needs in-depth and unique ways of delivering services) and 2nd is a good optimized lead generation page.

Let’s see what could be the factors that make an optimized lead generation page.
  1. A Company Logo.
  2. Call-to-Action Title or Heading.
  3. No More Navigation or clickable pages.
  4. A strong and effective Product or Services description.
  5. Highly Visualized and stunning product or services Image.
  6. A short and simple form with no more extra fields.
  7. Few Customers Testimonials.
  8. Product Demo Video or Services Explained Video.

Below are some of the point you must keep before creating a good and standing lead generation page.
  1. Check whether a user has enough information to make the decision.
  2. Need to check if there is any information a user needs before making a decision.
  3. Keep FAQ’s to solve the user queries.
  4. Check out the Grammatical Errors and Information flow.
  5. Does the Design of the page is attractive and catchable. Stunning to the eyes.

  8. Are there too many pages in the funnel process? One should keep at-most 1-2 funnel pages.
  9. Check out the visual components of the page.
  10. Make sure the text should be appropriate to the headline and the body of content.
  11. Call-to-Actions button with an appropriate color.
  12. Make the Background color and the text color such that it makes easy to be readable to the user.
  13. Keep an explainer video that helps visitors to understand more about the services/products.

Below are some of the reasons why the user bounces the conversion page.
  1. Not having enough content in the Body.
  2. Misspellings and Grammatical Errors in the text
  3. Should not include the terms that users don’t understand. Make the content text simple to understand.
  4. Should not place Ads, banner ads or Ad like elements.
  5. Should not ask much information from the visitor, which makes users lazy to fill all those required fields in the form and thus could be the reason to leave the page.
  6. Should not add unnecessary images and videos.
  7. Should not open the links in the same tab.
  8. Should not have navigation bar or other website inner pages on the lead generation page.

Conclusion:

Lead generation page is an important factor to any marketer and thus needed much A/B test with all available variables and its much more than just buttons, colors, and stronger CTA’s, in the other sense you must think yourself by keeping in-place of a user and his requirements and then you can make a highly conversion lead generation page.
